Hello and welcome to my portfolio. I'm a 16-year-old home-educated student with a deep love for nature—especially insects, which often inspire my creative work. I enjoy experimenting with different materials and techniques, and my favourite mediums include watercolours and found or repurposed objects. Through art, I like to explore the beauty in small, often overlooked details and give new life to discarded materials. This space is where I share some of my projects, ideas, and the things that fascinate me most.
I recently went to a taster day at Peterborough College where I tried out different materials and techniques. I created a still life using charcoal, focusing on contrast and texture, and also made a mixed media piece using watercolour and ink. We were encouraged to respond to what we saw in the watercolour and build on it with ink, which I really enjoyed. It was a great chance to try new things and see what college art sessions might be like.
Really enjoyed working with others. It was great to be surrounded by people being creative and having fun.

This was my entry for a competition with Technology Triumphs, and I was so pleased to win! This piece really shows my love of invertebrates, as well as my interest in reusing materials—most of the cardboard might otherwise have been thrown away. I decorated the pieces using acrylic paint.
I'm currently studying NCFE Level 2 Certificate in Creative Craft Art & Design with Technology Triumphs.
I practice my art regularly and enjoy exploring different styles and ideas. One of my favourite things to do is create expressive characters, often using graphite, ink, or watercolour. I like experimenting with faces and poses to show emotion and personality in my work.
Sometimes I like to create quite random things. This piece started while I was painting and my mum handed me a watermelon. I ended up painting the melon in a room, then started wondering why it might be there. I decided maybe an ant had carried it inside to survive the winter—so here you see it sitting proudly next to its rather impressive haul.
I love trying out new art materials, and this time I experimented with oil pastels. I found them quite challenging to control at first, but I really enjoyed the bold colours and vibrant textures they created. I used them to draw these bugs, and I think the richness of the pastels really helped bring them to life.

I would love to experiment more with sculpture as really enjoyed taking my time to create this.
